Environmental work at a mine shares roads, work areas and time with production activity. A service plan that considers only the waste task can miss the conditions that determine whether a crew can reach the location and work safely.

Begin with the operating area and the planned service window. Establish access requirements, vehicle constraints and the person responsible for releasing the work area. Identify activities that could change conditions while the service is underway.
For suction work, discuss the material and the equipment interface together. The technical team needs enough information to evaluate the scope; uncertainty about contents or site conditions should be resolved before equipment selection and mobilisation.
Agree how site personnel and the service crew communicate a change. A revised access route, altered process condition or unavailable receiving area can affect the whole sequence. The stop and escalation arrangements should be understood before arrival.
Close the activity with a documented handover. Record what was completed, the material movement and any condition requiring follow-up. This gives the next shift useful information and supports continuity when environmental services are part of a recurring site programme.
